TUI Will Cover Covid-19 For Its Newly Added Destinations11/07/2020
TUI announces it will cover the costs for Covid-19 while adding more destinations to summer holiday programme.
Additionally, TUI will fly to seven more destinations this including Menorca, Malaga, Alicante, Reus, Zakynthos, Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria from July 25, 2020.
Also from July 25, 2020, TUI to resume flights from Bristol Airport.
However, the cover will be used alongside normal travel insurance. It will automatically be included for all customers travelling on any TUI holiday between July 11, 2020 and December 31, 2020.
This coverage will automatically include for all new and existing bookings.
There are some of the most exclusive features of the coverage that will include:
- Overseas COVID-19 testing for suspected cases
- Overseas medical assistance if a customer contracts COVID-19 while on holiday
- Costs associated with an extended stay and a new return flight home if customers are asked to self-isolate while on holiday.
- Dedicated 24/7 emergency hotline and app
Meanwhile, TUI has also revealed its plan to offer more holiday choices this summer. It is adding holiday destinations like Spain and Greece to its programme from July 25, 2020.
In addition to this, four destinations in Spain are already on offer from July 11, 2020 and four holiday hotspots in Greece available from July 15, 2020.
Moreover, TUI one of the UK’s largest travel company will take customers to a total of 24 destinations from August 1, 2020.
Its customer will have more preferences to fly from a total of 12 UK airports. But, it is still in accordance with the Government’s upcoming guidances.
TUI also plans to add other popular summer destinations on the list for an instance Portugal, Tunisia, Egypt and Morocco over the coming months as Governments further ease travel restrictions.
Andrew Flintham, Managing Director, TUI UK & Ireland added, “Of course, as this is such a fluid situation, we understand the need to be flexible, and may need to adapt and modify our plans as we go along. If we do need to cancel more holidays in line with Government advice, all affected customers will be able to receive a full refund.”
