Accoding to The Times of India reports on Sunday a visitor will receive three hours to visit the site.
If they want to stay longer beyond this period, they have to pay extra fine by buying a completely new ticket.
This will essentially reduce being of overcrowding at the most beautiful iconic landmark in the world.
There have been reportedly series of gates installed at the site. So, tourist can check-in and check-out quite easily.
Also it will become much more easier for the authorities to find out who is exceeding the allocating hours or not. Once they breach this, would face a hefty fines at the exit gates.
The Site’s Superintending Archaeologist, ASI (Agra circle) Vasant Swarankar told The Times Of India: “With the turnstile gates functioning for some time now, the three-hour restriction from entry time to exit is being strictly enforced from Sunday.”
He also told the paper about the trial “the system worked without any hassles”.
Hopefully this initiative will cut the over-tourism in one of the most iconic landmark in the world. Also it will attract more visitors to enjoying the site at the same time.
