Lufthansa To Suspend Flights Between China And Iran10/03/2020
German airline Lufthansa suspends direct flight services between China and Iran amid Coronavirus safety measure.
Currently, Lufthansa is not operating its flight services to Iran and China. This suspension will become effective until 24 April for mainland China.
However, the flight services to Tehran will remain suspend until 30 April as a precaution.
Meanwhile, the airline also announces its safety plan for destinations as well. Lufthansa is also reducing additional frequencies for its route network to and from Hong Kong and Seoul(South Korea).
Flights between Munich and Hong Kong will remain suspend between 6 March and 24 April.
Lufthansa is also primarily focusing temporary to reduce its flight services to Italy. The airline is reducing its flight services to Italian destinations like Milan, Venice, Rome, Turin, Verona, Bologna, Ancona and Pisa.
Additionally, the airline is also reducing its flights to domestic destinations too.
The airline is re-capping its flight frequencies to domestic routes from Frankfurt to Berlin, Munich, Hamburg and Paderborn and from Munich to Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bremen and Hanover.
On the other hand, any customer already booked with the airline can reschedule their airline tickets.
The company announces on its website “New tickets purchased until 31 March will also have possibility to rebook once without rebooking fees”. But, those tickets already booked for departure until 30 April can only reschedule once until 31 December.
