Hotels In England Will Re-Open From July 202024/06/2020
Since, Covid-19 pandemic hotels including accommodation sites remain closed as a safety measure. But, hotels and any other accommodation sites in England can re-open from July 2020.
Most recently government has specified a date. Starting from July 4, 2020 people can stay at a local staycation in England.
According to a latest statement from the government reveals, “people can now enjoy staycations in England with the reopening of accommodation sites.”
Government further announces, “In order to begin restoring the arts and cultural sector, some leisure facilities and tourist attractions may also reopen, if they can do so safely – this includes outdoor gyms and playgrounds, cinemas, museums, galleries, theme parks and arcades, as well as libraries, social clubs, places of worship and community centres.”
People can maintain ‘one metre plus’ distance at an accommodation. As, government abolishes its two-metre rule.
However, there are other recreations areas “nightclubs, soft-play areas, indoor gyms, swimming pools, water parks, bowling alleys and spas” will remain close because of the public safeties.
Although, hotels and other accommodation provider can resume their services. But, they will need to follow stricter hygienic polices in order to keep staffs and customers secure.
For an instance, UK’s leading accommodation provider Jurys Inn unveils its hygienic policies.
It is focusing on hygiene rules such as sanitising stations at receptions, disinfectant products, cleaning of frequently touched items and food menus are now online.
While, a visitor staying at the hotel they will need need to maintain 2 metre or 6 feet of distance from each other. Staffs will have protective screens at all reception desks.
Visitors will also need to use stairwells as an alternative to the lift to access to the room. But, lifts can only be used by one person or guests known to each other only.
In terms of payment, visitors will need to pay ‘cashless’. Jurys Inn is currently accepting payments made by debit or credit card only rather than cash.
While, consumption of food at the hotel. Visitors can view menus are now available online. It is also offering contactless room service on a daily basis.
