Egypt To Welcome Foreign Tourists From July 202013/06/2020
Egypt is truly a beautiful country lies between African and Asian peninsula. But, Egypt is ready to welcome foreign tourists from July 2020.
Starting from July 1, 2020 Egypt will welcome tourists including international flights from different parts of the world.
However, tourists will only visit beach resorts in the Sinai Peninsula and the Red Sea, such as Sharm el-Sheikh and Dahab.
Visitors can only book their flights nearest to the resorts for an instance Sharm el-Sheikh Airport.
As, Cairo Airport will remain close for international commercial flights until further notice.
Egypt is a dream destination for holiday makers from across the world. In March 2020, the country shut down restaurants, hotels and cafes due to the pandemic.
Although, the Egyptian government is seeking to re-boost its tourism sector during upcoming summer. As, tourism boosts about 5% of Egypt’s gross domestic product.
In previous month, Egypt allowed hotels to resume their businesses for domestic tourists but within a limited capacity.
“Among the most important incentives is the cancellation of the need for tourist visas of visitors to Egypt’s touristic governorates until Oct. 31,” the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
As Egypt’s tourism industry is in the sideline. The Egyptian government is offering other incentives, such as the removal of tourist visas and 20 per cent discounts to visit attractions and landmarks.
As of June 13, 2020 Egypt has 41,303 confirmed cases against 1,422 deaths. There are nearly 1,500 new cases on an average.
This figure is against Egypt’s population of nearly 100 million. Where majority of the victims recovered from the disease.
Sharm el-Sheikh is one of the most popular holiday destinations in Egypt among British tourists. It has very attractive warm weather.
From 2019, there were direct flight services launched between Sharm el-Sheikh and different airports in the UK.
