British Citizens Facing Ban Travelling Into USA For Months17/06/2020
United States is the favourite holiday destination among British holiday makers. But, there are possibilities British citizens facing ban travelling to the USA for months.
There are nearly four million British travellers travel to the USA on each year.
However, Dr Anthony Fauci top public health official in the USA warns that current restrictions preventing UK citizens from entering the States. This can extend further even until a vaccine is developed.
Dr Fauci added, ‘It’s going to be really wait and see. I don’t think there’s going to be an immediate pull back for those kinds of restrictions,’.
‘My feeling, looking at what’s going on with the infection rate, I think it’s more likely measured in months rather than weeks.’
Dr. Fauci said the US has been successful to reduce the outbreak in major cities including New York, Chicago, Detroit and New Orleans, several states trying to reopen are seeing ‘early indications [that] infections are higher than previously.’
Currently, the USA forbids travellers to travel to its territories this including China, Iran, Schengen Area, Republic Of Ireland, Brazil and the United Kingdom. You can check complete lists of countries from here.
The ban prohibits anyone from entering the States from the UK unless they are a US citizen, a green card holder, have an American spouse or UK government official.

Meanwhile, British nationals considering to travel to the USA will need to apply for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). Visitors can apply for ESTA to travel to the USA under Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
