Booking.com is one the most popular hotel booking site in different regions in the world. But, the accommodation provider site is providing misleading information to its customer.

The company is using misleading ‘1 room left’ in order to attract more customers. Consumer rights site Which finds.

As a result, many of the potential customers are almost pressurised to reserve an accommodation.

However, this selling tactics is against Competition and Marketing Authority (CMA) policies.

The CMA also set a deadline until 1st September to resolve the issue. However, the company has been failed to comply against its requirement.

It also finds this practice is misleading and giving false impression of a room’s popularity and not displaying the full-up-frontal costs. In fact, it is seriously breaching consumer protection laws.

However, the authority raised this issue to “25 firms, including big brands like TripAdvisor, Airbnb and Google as well as major hotel chains”.

On the other hand, hotel comparison site Tripadvisor is failing to remove fake hotel reviews from its site.

The accommodation provider is also using hidden travel fees to make more money from customers.

When they scrutinised the matter more deeply, they found 10 superior doubles available at a much cheaper rate of £226.

This is of course a serious breach of trusts between an organisation and a loyal customer.

It is very important that once you are considering to book a hotel room use this option very carefully.

Also, if you know any of the accommodation provider are good and you are happy with their services. You can reconsider to use them once again.

At least, this option will help you avoid any entrapments quite easily.
