easyJet To Resume Flights From Edinburgh To Birmingham21/09/2019
Europe’s most popular low budget airline easyJet to launch flights between Edinburgh and Birmingham. The airline is already most popular for its low cost flight services to different European destination.
easyJet announces in a latest statement , it will operate direct flights between two major UK cities.
But, the flight services will resume on 9th March 2020 during the next year.
However, once there are direct flight services it will operate 13 times a week from Edinburgh to or Birmingham to Edinburgh.
The company also has an initial target to attract nearly 180,000 passengers over the first 12 months. The airlines will serve passengers with A320 family aircraft.
Tickets are due to sale within upcoming few weeks.
According to Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK Country Manager: “We are absolutely delighted to be announcing yet another new route from Edinburgh today, to Birmingham.
We remain committed to expanding our network from Scotland and this is a particularly exciting addition to our base at Edinburgh. We are confident the new service to Birmingham will provide a popular addition to easyJet’s network.
“In total easyJet now serves 41 destinations from Edinburgh spanning the UK and Europe and this new route will complement our existing network of leisure and business flights.”
Also, according to Edinburgh Airport Chief Executive Gordon Dewar: “We’re delighted to be part of easyJet’s continued growth in Scotland. We share the same goal – to ensure passengers have choice whether traveling internationally or domestically. This new Birmingham service is a key part of that and we’re sure will be a great success.”
